Father Matt will be offering a series of Holy Masses throughout the Easter Season, ending on Pentecost Sunday, June 8th, praying particularly for the soul of Pope Francis. These Masses will be in addition to our already scheduled daily and weekend Mass times:
Wednesday 5:30pm (followed by adoration 6-7pm)
Friday 6:30pm (followed by adoration 7-9pm)
Sunday 7:30am (followed by confessions and 9:30am Mass)

A Mother's Day Message
I come from a family of very strong women. We were raised always knowing that men and women are different, but equal. I would have gotten my rear end kicked if any word or action against women were to be said and I were to do nothing about it, let alone if I were a perpetrator against the dignity of women. Because of this, one of the phrases that makes me saddest to hear is when someone comes to me and says “Fr. there is no place for women in the Church”. Often it is based in relation to women and the priesthood, that gives rise to the false teaching that the Church believes women are lesser than men. This is not true, but it does mean we haven’t done well showing and teaching about equality of women and men, that the ache in a woman's heart for validation and appreciation needs to be honored. What is her place in the Church?
Archbishop's Catholic Appeal
Every year, we come together as one Catholic community, joined together in mission, to make a shared commitment to the work of the Archdiocese by supporting the Archbishop's Catholic Appeal. This commitment serves the needs of our parishes, schools and people by bringing Christ's hope and love to every corner of our Archdiocese. In this Jubilee Year, as we celebrate the 2,025th Anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord, we are mindful of the call for each of us to be living witnesses of the hope found in Jesus Christ. One way to respond to this call is to prayerfully consider a gift to this appeal. More information can be found below (envelopes are in the church if you'd prefer a mail-in donation):
24 Hours of Adoration | May 16th - 17th
On November 24, 2004 the late Pope John Paul II blessed six monstrances for use during the Year of the Eucharist for people to pray for an increase of vocations to ordained ministry and consecrated life. These monstrances continue to travel the world and one of them is coming to St. Rose next Friday May 16th 9am - Saturday May 17th 8am. Pilgrimage to St. Rose for an hour with Jesus as this is our Jubilee Pilgrimage for the month of May!
Congratulations to 26 of our Confirmandi who received the Sacrament of Confirmation this past Monday along with candidates from St. Andrew Parish (72 candidates total)! It was a beautiful Mass at Our Lady of LaVang on Alameda, sharing in worship and sacrament with St. Rose, St. Charles and St. Andrew parishes. Please continue to pray as our second group of Confirmandi receive their Confirmation on May 17th at the Cathedral.
